I'm one of those that would be absolutely ecstatic if a new Kohan game was released. I honestly believe that the Kohan play style and engine could revitalise the RTS market if given a chance.
Unimaginative I know but Kohan: Ahriman's Gift is still my favourite game. I'll unashamedly put my thoughts about what I think could be improved in the Kohan games. Kohan: Ahriman's Gift. 1. More variations of everything. More troop types, map features, factions, races, Kohans and so one. 2. As an alternative to the above just "port" it to another universe. The game engine and concept would probably fit almost everywhere. 3. Add sea units. Ships would open up many map options like island maps. 4. Updated graphics. But please don't make it 3D for 3Ds sake. Some 3D graphics is just ugly. To sum up I'd be very happy if it was just updated a bit. Add some new units, Kohans, a new human faction (It would probably be the easiest way to make a new faction.), some more map variants and so one. I'd buy it in an instant. Kohan 2. 1. Bigger maps. 2. Zoom out more. This coupled with bigger maps would make it feel as epic as the first two Kohans. 3. Bring back visible zones like settlement zones so you can choose where you want to put new cities. 4. Updated graphics. I've never really liked the 3D graphic in Kohan 2. Can't say why though, it's subjective I guess. 5. More variations of everything. The same things as I wrote above for K:AG. 6. Maybe put it in another universe too? I like the Kohan universe and am not tired of it yet but it would still be interesting. 7. Don't know if it would feel as much in place with sea units as in K:AG but I wouldn't mind it if they tried. They could always make it optional in map creation. Axis & Allies. 1. Being able to chose which troop types I want in a unit as in the other games. This would make the game fantastic. ![]() 2. Heroes that can lead units. It would add a lot of atmosphere. 3. Updated graphics. 4. As in the other games it would be fun with more variations of everything, sea units and a "port" to another universe but it fits so well as it is I don't feel it's as important as for the others. Oh and I don't know how much Timegate Studios "owns" this game. Maybe ATARI have all the rights? ---------------- That's what I think would make a new gaming trend. Well I can still dream can't I?
