DevPost Seek and Destroy Map Pack – Now Available on PC!

We are proud to announce the release of Downloadable Content for the PC version of Section 8. The “Seek and Destroy Map Pack” expands upon the game with three new maps for both Multiplayer and Instant Action as well as adding 10 brand new achievements.

Players will be able to fight for control of a geothermal energy plant on the salt flats of New Madrid in “Devil’s Backbone” and battle in the narrow confines of a hazardous valley on the planet Titan in “Hornet’s Nest”. “Azure Basin” is set high atop a mountain plateau where a massive hydroelectric dam sits astride the map, with combat ranging from both inside and outside of the facility.

To purchase this new Downloadable Content, select the “Downloadable Content” tab from the Main Menu in-game and follow the instructions. Please note you must be signed into Games for Windows Live (GfWL) to purchase this new content. Also, you may need to install the latest GfWL update before proceeding.

If you have any problems installing the map pack, please contact Games for Windows Live Support or you may open a ticket at TimeGate Support and our support team will be happy to assist you.

We hope you enjoy the Seek and Destroy Map Pack. Be sure to stay tuned for more exciting Section 8 announcements in the near future!

I do not know, but those pictures vaguely remind me of that map which was shown in the very early screenshots...is one of these maps perhaps the same as the first map shown?

S8 Tournament Champions (PC)

The one that most closely resembles the one from the early CB screenshots would be Azure Basin, at CP1 (Northern CP) However, if I'm not mistaken, that map from CB was darker and the scaffolding surrounding the CP was orange. In this map, it is yellow, and the CP is in the middle of a Cargo area, not a group of buildings.

Also, Check out reviews of the new maps made by BlueSkyZero and myself here!

Hi,

I can't view the screenshots full-size - I'm asuming 300x169 pixels is not full size.

Let me be the first

To complain as usual haha. Im sorry we paid 60 bucks for this game and I was able to accept that it was a tiny small "In Game" and that it wont support other controllers because I enjoyed the multiplayer a bit. But now almost nobody is on the servers, and now we have to pay like $10 for 3 new maps when we should be getting things like this for free?

It was partialy ok yea. But that was rare dude. And I (even tho it makes my gut rot thinking about) paid for the new maps, AND NOBODY IS PLAYING ON THEM lol.... I had to host my own server with all bots. I miss when you had so many players no bots were needed. I do like the game and 2 of the new maps are cool! I just think this game has so much potential and it ends up not quite reaching it. I am only making points when I complain. The game is fun for a bit but once you beat the in game and sit there looking over and over for multiplayer servers and you get 6 at a time mmmmm you end up switching to Crysis or MW2 or Borderlands but i have probs with that game too haha.

Can you Devs please tell us Loyal S8 Fans if there are plans for some new models, skins and/or new campaign missions in the next DLC? it would be pretty kewl to have a coop mode for the Campaign where 2 or more players can go through the campaign together.... hint hint

and some info about mod tools would help alot.
