Xbox 360 Title Update 1

We are very pleased to announce that Section 8 Title Update 1 will be available on Monday, Nov. 23rd for the Xbox 360 and XServer. We have made a number of exciting improvements to gameplay and matchmaking including improving the likelihood of finding a good match via Automatch, fixing the reliability of stats and achievement reporting, improving tank controls, and improving several high-latency related issues.

Considering how many non-playing yet daily forum-checking people this community has(including me haha), I think the game's population is going to see a huge increase, on the order of many fold. And combining that with the server searching tweaks, I doubt there will be any problem finding populated games. The community will grow enough to sustain itself and new players won't have that major gripe about empty servers. I think we're good to go boys. Tell your friends to pick it up. Get the train moving again.

P.S. It seems the retail price for 360 is only $40 now, so there's another boost. yay

yeah hopefully people decide to play over MW2 here and there but i wanna see how the patch turns out

woot-nuggets. Can't wait. I'm glad there's been an Eta Announced ^_^ . The main Prob was the Search feature. As of one of your Server Fixes a while back, the stats has been reporting very quickly so I don't see a need to fix it but hell, never know what's missing ^_^

Edit: YUSH!! Some of them are much needed, though i found the match continuing after the resolts was funny. Sad it's fixed but oh well. Some of the Camera things really needing fixed and it's good it has been.

So instead of tweaking the vehicles to make them less powerful you make it easier to handle? I hardly see how this patch will help now that ive read what it will do. So according to the patch all thats being fixed that needed changing is finding populated games so basically it will bring together the few people that play this game together in one room. This patch is a failure unless there are some hidden aspects that you've not mentioned in the list which im soooo hoping you did. To think that ive lurked on the shadows of the forums looking for some little crumb on the patch just to find this lain before me

Uhm.. This patch will bring together ALl of the scattered people that are in the random servers around the US (and else where maybe?) that the game wouldn't do before. The player base maybe larger then you think. There are over 500 som'in US servers (if the US-Official### is accurate)

no more shotgun lag is the big one. i didnt see anything done about det packs though or lowering the price of tanks with is in all honesty a big letdown but other than the lame jump delay (why?) and lowering the damage of the only two automatic guns (again, why?) this patch looks great.

I hope as the price goes down the servers will steadily grow as word-of-mouth spreads the love for this great game. And the patch will actually direct us to those servers!

Eh Im just going to wait untill the patch comes out and if it dissapoints then ill just sell it like all the other players have

What's wrong with the det packs? Only thing I can think of is them randomly sticking to themselves (when they're supposed to skip. When it does skip it's accually quite fun XD). According to the PC crew, the Gun nerfs isn't really all that bad. Tank prices need to stay where it's at, but maybe limit how meny tanks per team (also vs team size). The Jump Delay is supposed to simulate the weight of the armour. Try jumping around with a bunch of weight on your back. The Jump Delay is after the first one.

people throw them like crazy it isnt that bad outdoors but indoors with alot of damage modules it is very hard to escape when you have to dodge 5 of them and like 2-3 can kill you. the jetpack only lasts so long you have to be against someone like Paul Mic or pedro to see what i mean.

they should lower the limit to 3 or lower the damage so you have a better chance indoors

I'll atleast agree with this one. But they needa fix it to prevent the packs from sticking to themselves.. Kinda fun watching em skip lol

hahah nice. I logged on to get the update real fast and did a US1 search and it pulled up like 5 games... though searching US2 pulled up 0 games =\ Why no love for the No Bot servers? lol

Just saying Thank you for the much needed update ^_^
